Hornets get a big win against the defending champs

It was a packed house at Spectrum Center Saturday night for the Hornets vs Warriors match up. Hornets came into the game with a 2-3 record and were missing their two star players Terry Rozier and Lamelo Ball.

P.J. Washington finished the game with 31 points and Gordon Hayward added 23 points to help give the Hornets the edge over the Warriors with a 120-113 win in overtime. Kelly Oubre Jr contributed with 18 points and Dennis Smith Jr nearly had a triple-double with 13 points, nine rebounds and 8 assists. Dennis Smith Jr was guarding Steph Curry on the last possession at the end of regulation and made Curry take a contested three to force overtime.
